July 8, 2022—We shared news in May that the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, British Columbia, would be closing on September 6 of this year as the province invested in building a new facility that was to open in 2030. After strong backlash to the costly and controversial plan, Premier John Horgan has pledged to consult with the public to determine how to proceed.
