Statement of Purpose
As an active member of the giant screen community dating back to 1997, I have dedicated considerable time and energy to GSCA’s advancement.
Our industry faces numerous headwinds confronting all its vital members. I believe GSCA provides the world’s best forum to address these challenges. I have led or supported many GSCA strategic initiatives in the past and look to continue that work in the coming years.
Today through the Industry Leadership Committee
- I remain focused on helping organize the GSCA Leader meetings we host at Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC). These meetings continue to be extremely productive since the first one I initiated in 2018. I also hope to expand our connections with leaders at new places like American Alliance of Museums (AAM) and Canadian Association of Science Centers (CASC).
- I want to build upon the collaborative relationship our committee established with the International Planetarium Society (IPS) in 2023, many more opportunities here for our mutual association/market benefit.
- I want to continue development work on collaborating with other organizations, especially immersive experience-oriented organizations in our cultural attraction field.
Bio
A 35+ year veteran in providing programs and new technology to science centers, natural history museums, aquariums, theme parks, and other cultural attractions worldwide. Now developing business opportunities with advanced educational technology, including revolutionary compound curve LED screens now arriving on the immersive experience market, including high profile locations at Cosm and Sphere.
A respected industry executive leader at IMAX Corporation, Evans & Sutherland/Spitz Inc./Cosm, MacGillivray Freeman Films, and Laser Fantasy International. Known for establishing and building high level win-win strategic relationships through business integrity and an eye on inspiring cultural attraction visitors. Office in Washougal, Washington.
