By leveraging Cosm’s CX System, an end-to-end immersive technology stack boasting LED dome display technology, immersive software, and an ecosystem of immersive content, Fort Worth Museum is transforming its 23-meter Omni IMAX Theater into a next-generation immersive LED dome: “The Jane & John Justin Foundation Omni Theater,” powered by Cosm Technology.
Reinforcing the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History’s role as an educational cornerstone for the Dallas-Fort Worth community, this transformation marks the world’s first LED digital dome of its size in a museum and positions the Museum as a global leader in visual technology.
With the installation of Cosm’s next-generation digital 8K LED dome, Fort Worth Museum of Science & History’s new Omni Theater is set to inspire and captivate visitors for decades to come. Inspiring Generations for 40 Years
Opened in 1983, the Fort Worth Museum’s Omni Theater has long been a pillar of the Dallas-Fort Worth community, utilizing its IMAX projection technology to educate and entertain more than 10 million visitors. Guests of the museum theater were taken on a “Fort Worth Flyover” before exploring the world around them through documentaries and Giant Screen films. In line with its mission to engage diverse audiences through creative and vibrant programs and exhibits, the Museum embarked on a bold technological modernization project.
