January 28, 2015—IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) and Servi Museos, a sister institution of the Papalote Children’s Museum Mexico City and of the Papalote Children’s Museum Cuernavaca, today announced an agreement to add an IMAX® theatre to its new children’s museum in Mexico, the Papalote Children’s Museum Monterrey. The Megantalla IMAX Banorte at the new Museum is slated to open in Spring 2015. As part of the agreement, the Museum will eventually transition to IMAX’s next-generation digital laser projection.

January 16, 2015—Giant Screen Films and K2 Communications are pleased to announce that prolific actor Sir Patrick Stewart has signed on to narrate Journey to Space, launching worldwide this February. Famous for his roles as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series and Captain Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stewart is a Grammy Award winner as well as a Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominee. In Journey to Space, Stewart will take audiences on a behind-the-scenes tour of the international effort to send astronauts to Mars within the next 20 years.

Lee Hackett comes to nWave Pictures Distribution with over 10 years experience in the giant screen industry, having previously served as Director of Sales for National Geographic Cinema Ventures and prior to that as Senior Group Sales & Marketing Manager at Smithsonian Business Ventures, the for-profit arm of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.

January 12, 2015—Electrosonic has promoted Bryan Hinckley to head of the worldwide Entertainment business, which includes the museum, theme park, visitor center and retail markets. The post was previously held by Chris Conte, who was recently named head of the new U.S. Business Development team.

January 6, 2015—The final two episodes of last year's fourth season will screen on IMAX screens beginning Jan. 23, and will be followed up by the first season five teaser.
