June 24, 2016—IMAX Corporation and AMC Theatres have announced an expansion of the companies' existing full joint revenue sharing arrangement with the addition of 25 IMAX® at AMC theatres. The theatres are expected to be installed in 2016 through 2019 at both existing and new–build AMC locations, with the majority of the IMAX at AMC theatres opening within the next two years. The cities include New York, Los Angeles and Houston as well as strategic smaller-tier markets that AMC and IMAX believe present further growth opportunities. Today's agreement brings AMC's total IMAX commitment to 185 theatres and reinforces its position as the largest IMAX exhibitor in North America.

June 16, 2016—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is thrilled to announce that IMAX Corporation has generously signed on as a partner-level sponsor, the highest level of support, for the
GSCA 2016 International Conference and Trade Show in Toronto on October 4-7. IMAX’s contribution will support the conference’s opening reception and the GSCA Achievement Awards, both to be held at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York Hotel the evening of October 4. During the ceremony, GSCA will present awards for giant screen filmmaking, marketing, and education, while IMAX will present awards for projection excellence and induct a classic film into the IMAX Hall of Fame. IMAX’s Technical Services and IMAX Post/DKP teams will also provide assistance for screenings in IMAX digital laser projection at the Cineplex Scotiabank IMAX Theatre and 15 perf/70mm film at the Ontario Science Centre Omnimax Theatre throughout the conference.

June 16, 2016—The Museum of Flight, a Smithsonian affiliate, has dedicated its entire June 18 film schedule to premiere Space Next in 4K stereoscopic 3D CGI, and the opening was timed to coincide with the NewSpace conference of space entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers and policy leaders, held annually by the Space Frontier Foundation. June 14, 2016—SK Films is pleased to announce that its next giant screen film Amazon Adventure has begun principal photography. This tri-lateral co-production (Canada-UK-Brazil) is being filmed in the Brazilian Amazon and in England.
SK Films is the worldwide distributor of the film, which is slated for release in April, 2017.
