February 9, 2022—GSCA and the GSCA Innovations Committee invite you to experience Evans & Sutherland’s domed LED system at the Cosm Experience Center in Salt Lake City on March 10, following the GSCA Film Expo in Los Angeles on March 8-9. The GSCA Film Expo is the world’s first industry conference to unveil this groundbreaking technology.

January 13, 2022—As we get closer to the dates of the upcoming GSCA Film Expo in Los Angeles on March 8-9 and Salt Lake City March 10, we have received many inquiries about whether we are going ahead with the in-person event. We have been following developments related to the Omicron variant very closely. We also have talked to industry stakeholders representing all segments of GSCA’s membership, and we sent a poll to all our theater members last week asking if they plan to attend. After gathering all this information, the GSCA Executive Committee had a thorough discussion on Tuesday, January 11, and has voted unanimously to proceed with in-person events in both Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. 

September 2, 2021—We are pleased to announce that the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) will hold its next annual Film Expo in Los Angeles on March 8-9, 2022, at the AMC CityWalk IMAX Theatre and Universal City Hilton. The 2022 Film Expo will be the first in-person event hosted by GSCA since March 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, GSCA organized the successful Virtual Conference in September 2020, the Virtual Film Expo in April 2021, and is currently at work on the Virtual Conference coming up in September 2021. The Film Expo will feature screenings of new films, films in production, projects in development, and a technical session highlighting the latest giant screen technology. Other programming is still being determined and will be announced as it is confirmed. Registration and film submissions will open in December 2021. GSCA will monitor COVID protocols and plan the event accordingly.

February 7, 2020—GSCA is pleased to announce the Innovations Session at the upcoming Film Expo, "Completing the Transition from Film to Digital with HFR and HDR," featuring scenes from Ang Lee’s feature film Gemini Man captured and displayed in 3D HFR (4K/120 fps per eye) and in HDR.

June 15, 2018—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce the locations and dates for its 2019 events. The GSCA 2019 Film Expo will take place in Los Angeles on March 11-12, with the Filmmaker Symposium immediately following on March 13. The AMC CityWalk IMAX Theatre will host. The GSCA 2019 International Conference and Trade Show will be held on September 10-12 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, at the IMAX Victoria in the Royal BC Museum. Dome Day will follow on September 13 at Science World British Columbia in Vancouver.
