February 7, 2023—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce its 2023 International Conference locations. The conference will begin September 18 in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Cincinnati Museum Center and The Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX®. All delegates are invited to join us in Cincinnati and see giant screen innovations and films on the dome screen. Chartered buses will depart Cincinnati the evening of September 18 for Indianapolis, where the conference will continue September 19-21, 2023, at the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum.
Board Also Adopts New Strategic Plan and Committee Reorganization
December 15, 2022—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce its Board of Directors has approved a new strategic plan and elected officers and committee chairs for the coming year. These officers and committee chairs represent the 2023 Board, which was announced in November
, and their terms begin on January 1, 2023. The GSCA Board of Directors has also approved a new strategic plan, which includes a committee realignment.
November 4, 2022—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce the results of the 2023 Board of Directors election. The following candidates will join the board beginning on January 1, 2023.
March 4, 2022—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to
announce that the Association’s 2022 International Conference will be
hosted by the Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX 3D Theater in Chattanooga,
Tennessee, on September 28–30, with the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel
Chattanooga Downtown serving as the official conference hotel. On
October 1, the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, Alabama, will host
GSCA’s Dome Day, with screenings in the IMAX Laser Dome Theater.
January 13, 2022—As we get closer to the dates of the upcoming GSCA
Film Expo in Los Angeles on March 8-9 and Salt Lake City March 10, we
have received many inquiries about whether we are going ahead with the
in-person event. We have been following developments related to
the Omicron variant very closely. We also have talked to industry
stakeholders representing all segments of GSCA’s membership, and we sent
a poll to all our theater members last week asking if they plan to
attend. After gathering all this information, the GSCA Executive
Committee had a thorough discussion on Tuesday, January 11, and has
voted unanimously to proceed with in-person events in both Los Angeles
and Salt Lake City.
December 17, 2021–The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased to announce its
2022 Board of Directors has elected officers and committee chairs for
the coming year.
November 8, 2021—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased
to announce the results of the 2022 Board of Directors election. The
following candidates will join the board beginning on January 1, 2022.
September 2, 2021—We are pleased to announce that the Giant Screen
Cinema Association (GSCA) will hold its next annual Film Expo in Los
Angeles on March 8-9, 2022, at the AMC CityWalk IMAX Theatre and
Universal City Hilton. The 2022 Film Expo will be the first in-person
event hosted by GSCA since March 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic,
GSCA organized the successful Virtual Conference in September 2020, the
Virtual Film Expo in April 2021, and is currently at work on the Virtual
Conference coming up in September 2021. The Film Expo will feature
screenings of new films, films in production, projects in development,
and a technical session highlighting the latest giant screen technology.
Other programming is still being determined and will be announced as it
is confirmed. Registration and film submissions will open in December
2021. GSCA will monitor COVID protocols and plan the event accordingly.

November 6, 2020—The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) is pleased
to announce the results of the 2021 Board of Directors election. The
