May 30, 2023—From producers Science North, in association with the Jane Goodall Institute, distributor Cosmic Picture and film producer/director David Lickley, comes Jane Goodall - Reasons for Hope. The documentary film makes its world premiere at Science North in Sudbury, Ontario, on May 30, 2023. This inspirational production is Science North’s 7th giant screen film, the likes of which include Jane Goodall’s Wild Chimpanzees, released in 2002 to international acclaim.

December 14, 2021—Science North CEO Guy Labine has announced that he will step down from
leadership of the science centre next March. He will become the President and CEO of the
Arizona Science Center in Phoenix.

September 17, 2021—Cosmic Picture is proud to announce it will distribute
Jane Goodall’s Reasons for Hope,
an exciting new giant screen film currently in production with the
talented team at Science North, an interactive science museum in Greater
Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. and Northern Ontario's most popular tourist
attraction. The film will be available April 2023 in Digital 2D & 3D for IMAX and giant screen theaters.
January 4, 2016—Science North’s IMAX theatre will be closed for approximately one-month, starting today, while the theatre undergoes a major renovation to replace its projector and sound system with the world’s most state-of-the-art advanced cinema technology—IMAX with laser. July 20, 2015—
IMAX and Science North in Sudbury, Ontario, have announced an agreement to install IMAX’s next-generation digital laser projection system at its IMAX® theatre. IMAX has signed more than 71 laser system deals to date.
