This prestigious award honors individuals nominated by GSCA members and selected by the GSCA Executive Committee for their contributions of lasting impact, which advance the giant screen industry, enhance the immersive cinema experience, promote lifelong learning, and inspire audiences and industry professionals alike. The award will be presented during the GSCA Achievement Awards on Tuesday, September 24, at the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX Theater as part of the annual GSCA International Conference.

Vancouver’s Science World dome to receive $19 million in upgrades

Infrastructure Canada says $19 million in upgrades to Vancouver's Science World will increase the facility's lifespan and reduce its energy consumption by more than 40 per cent. The federal government says the money will go toward repairing Science World's geodesic dome, the building envelope, and fixes to its heating, electrical and ventilation systems.
