GSCA Event Policy
(formerly known as the 24-hour rule)
Updated January 29, 2025
- No theatrical screenings shall be allowed during GSCA events unless approved by the GSCA Executive Committee.
- Invitation-only theatrical screenings or demonstrations in the host theater or other venues during GSCA events must be approved by the GSCA Executive Committee and, if permitted, hosted through GSCA as a sponsorship opportunity. Private video presentations on television monitors are allowed without sponsorship during GSCA events.
- Private events scheduled during GSCA must not conflict with films, conference sessions, or sponsored events.
- The GSCA Executive Committee shall announce the official start and end time of the GSCA event at least 90 days in advance. Any private events that are not part of a GSCA sponsorship or have not been approved by the GSCA Executive Committee must conclude at least 24 hours before or begin 24 hours after the official GSCA event.
- If a member operates its corporate business office in the same marketplace as the conference, that member may always conduct normal business activities. (A corporate business office is defined as a facility that does not operate a public theater.)
