On the Wing traces the art of flying in all its various forms in this exploration of the relationship between natural and mechanical flight. The film features spectacular high-speed sequences of insects in flight; Andean condors; Mexican free-tailed bats; re-creations of the Wright brothers’ 1902 Glider and 1903 Flyer; and QN-The Time Traveler, the lifelike replica of the prehistoric pterodactyl Quetzalcoatlus Northropi.
