Race the Wind, a documentary about the aerodynamics of sailing, features rare footage shot aboard Stars & Stripes, the top U.S. yacht of the 1988 America’s Cup. Veteran sailor Tristan Jones, a three-time circumnavigator of the globe, takes us on a stormy voyage while sharing his wisdom. Moving from the early days of clipper ships battling the great winds off Cape Horn to the futuristic technology of high-speed trimarans and the simple elegance of sailboards aloft Hawaii’s spectacular waves, we learn there is much to appreciate about the powerful force of the winds.
